A Whirlwind of a Week

Wow, what a week! This past week has flown at whirlwind speed, as I have taught a 2nd grade Vacation Bible School class every morning, and worked on my deputation presentation every afternoon. Additionally, I've had something scheduled almost every evening, such as: Silent Ladies Bible study (see my "Silent Ladies" post), NIC study session (see my post "The NIC") or church. A whirlwind indeed, but what a wonderful whirlwind!

VBS (Vacation Bible School) was a great challenge as I kept 16-18 kids in line for 3 hours every morning. It was worth it, too, as 3 of the kids in my class accepted Christ as their Savior, and many others were asking deep questions.

To encourage good behavior, I made a different balloon hat every day, and finished the day by giving it to the most well behaved child. It also made it easy for them to find me in the crowd of 400+ VBS workers and kids!

My deputation presentation is coming along very well... I can't wait to hit the road, presenting the ministry God has called me to! Lots of decisions are being made; with videos, web pages, and graphics quickly taking shape. I don't know where I would be without my church's graphics department and missions department. It is humbling to look back and see how God has gently, carefully, slowly, and definitely led me to where I am on the road to Honduras. For instance, the people He has placed in my life, in just the right time, for just the right purpose, amazes me repeatedly; and reminds me - yet again - that all this is His doing... I just get the privilege of watching it all unfold!

Thank you for your prayers as lots of decisions are being made, and the daily pressures increase. So grateful for the love and support of many. May God bless you!

Nahum 1:3 The Lord is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the Lord hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.
